YeboPro (Pty) Ltd (Registration No. 2026/289609/07) ("YeboPro", "we", "us", or "our") operates the YeboPro Platform at www.yebopro.co.za. We are the responsible party for the processing of personal information as defined under POPIA.

2. Personal Information We Collect
We may collect the following categories of personal information:
- Identity information: full name, South African ID number, selfie photographs, and biometric verification data processed via third-party verification services.
- Contact information: mobile number, email address, and physical address.
- Professional information: trade category, years of experience, professional certifications, and association memberships.
- Location information: GPS coordinates and service area, including location captured during job completion photograph uploads.
- Financial information: payment transaction records processed via our third-party payment provider. We do not store card or banking details directly.
- Usage data: Platform activity, Lead acceptance history, response times, job completion records, and Trust Score metrics.
- Communication data: messages sent through the Platform and WhatsApp communications facilitated via Respond.io.
3. How We Use Your Personal Information
We process your personal information for the following purposes:
- To create and manage your account and verify your identity.
- To deliver relevant service leads to Pros based on service category, region, and availability.
- To calculate and display your Trust Score.
- To process Credit purchases and payment transactions.
- To send service-related communications via WhatsApp, email, or SMS.
- To detect and prevent fraud, including verification against the SAFPS fraud register.
- To comply with our legal obligations under South African law.
- To improve the Platform and develop new features.
4. Legal Basis for Processing
Under POPIA, we process your personal information on the following bases:
- Performance of a contract: processing necessary to provide you with the Platform and its services.
- Legitimate interests: fraud prevention, platform security, and business analytics.
- Compliance with a legal obligation: POPIA, FICA, and other applicable South African legislation.
- Consent: where you have expressly provided consent, including for WhatsApp marketing communications.
5. Identity Verification and Third-Party Processing
To verify Pro identities, we use the following third-party services:
- Smile ID — Home Affairs record checks and biometric face matching.
- Secure Citizen — SAFPS fraud screening.
These providers process personal information on our behalf and are contractually bound to process it only as instructed and in compliance with POPIA.
Verification data, including biometric information, is processed solely for identity verification purposes and is not retained by YeboPro beyond what is necessary for this purpose.
6. Sharing of Personal Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share it in the following limited circumstances:
- With Pros: Consumer contact details are shared only after a Pro has purchased Credits and used them to accept a Lead.
- With Consumers: Pro names, Trust Score, trade category, and general service area are visible on the Platform.
- With service providers: our payment processor (payment processing), Respond.io (WhatsApp messaging), Smile ID and Secure Citizen (identity verification), Supabase (database hosting), Vercel and Railway (application hosting).
- As required by law: in response to a lawful request from a government authority or court order.
7. Cross-Border Transfers
Some of our service providers are located outside of South Africa. Where personal information is transferred internationally, we take steps to ensure it receives an adequate level of protection equivalent to POPIA requirements, including contractual safeguards with those providers.
8. Retention of Personal Information
We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this Policy, or as required by law. Account information is retained for the duration of your active account and for a period of five (5) years following account closure, unless a shorter retention period is required by law.
Biometric verification data processed for identity checks is not retained by YeboPro beyond the verification event.
9. Your Rights Under POPIA
As a data subject under POPIA, you have the following rights:
- Right of access: to request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Right to correction: to request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Right to deletion: to request deletion of your personal information, subject to our legal retention obligations.
- Right to object: to object to the processing of your personal information for direct marketing purposes.
- Right to withdraw consent: where processing is based on consent, to withdraw that consent at any time.
To exercise any of these rights, contact our Information Officer at info@yebopro.co.za. We will respond within 30 days as required by POPIA.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa if you believe your personal information has been processed unlawfully.

10. Security
We implement appropriate technical and organisational security measures to protect your personal information from unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. These include encrypted data storage, secure HTTPS transmission, role-based access controls, and third-party hosting on enterprise-grade infrastructure.
Despite these measures, no internet transmission is completely secure. You use the Platform at your own risk in this regard.
11. Cookies and Tracking
The Platform may use cookies and similar tracking technologies to enhance your experience and for analytics purposes. By using the Platform, you consent to our use of cookies in accordance with this Policy.
You may disable cookies through your browser settings, but this may affect the functionality of certain Platform features.
12. Children
The Platform is not directed at persons under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected information from a minor, we will delete it promptly.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any material changes will be notified to registered users via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the Platform after notification constitutes your acceptance of the revised Policy.
